The Brief
M.A.C made its formal entry into Nigeria in February 2013. The Launch Event was contracted to Activ8
and was intended to create buzz, excitement & engagement with the target audience and key stakeholders about the official launch of M.A.C cosmetics in Nigeria.
Approach & Solution
The approach we chose to create buzz, excitement and engagement in the lead up to M.A.C’s formal entry was a 2 day back-to-back media, make-up artists, distributors and celebrities event scheduled to hold in the week before Valentine’s Day.
Result
The event attracted heavy weights from the fashion and style industry, had a star-studded cocktail party and generated over 40 mentions both in online and offline publications.
